my inspiration for bublove is my bub, lyle. when he was born, my mother started calling him bubby - kind of a nickname for baby. it quickly caught on, and soon our family and friends referred to lyle as bubby, bubber, or bubster. once lyle got a bit older and began to develop a real personality and some attitude, he simply became “the bub.”
i made his first tee for our trip to greece when lyle was just 18 months old. it said "bub loves feta" - which he does! lots of folks commented on the tee, including several of my very encouraging friends - at that moment, bublove was born.
lyle’s many moods and ways of being are the inspiration for the fun and funky styles of our bub tees. whether he’s happy, sticky, wiggly, sweet, stinky, smart, or a little bit rockabilly, he’s my bub . . . and, my love.
